INTRODUCTION
As using digital images becomes more popular, there will almost certainly be times when you'll want to insert in your document a picture file you have saved on your computer. You can easily insert all types of graphics files: Windows Metafiles, JPEG files, PNGs, Macintosh PICT files, Kodak Photo CD, and many more.
TIP
Picture Filenames
If you don't see the picture filenames as thumbnail images, click the down arrow next to the Views button in the dialog box's toolbar and select Thumbnail or Preview.
TIP
Using the Picture Toolbar
When you insert a picture, the Picture toolbar appears. It contains tools you can use to crop the picture, add a border to it, or adjust its brightness and contrast. See the next task for details about resizing and moving graphic objects such as pictures.
