INTRODUCTION

Sometimes you'll receive email messages that contain attachments. These attachments are usually files the sender wants you to open and use. You can double-click the attachment icon in the message to launch the attachment's application (if you have it installed on your computer) and open the attached file (for example, if you want to quickly view the contents of an attached Word document). Alternatively, Outlook enables you to save the attachment using the same type of dialog box you use to save any other Office document.

TIP

Single Attachments

The File, Save Attachments submenu lists the files attached to the selected message. To save specific files, select that file's name in the File, Save Attachments submenu.
