Open the Insert menu and select Picture, From File to open the Insert Picture dialog box.
Using the Places bar or the Look in drop-down list, open the folder that contains the file you want to insert, and click the file to select it.
Click the Insert button to insert the file into the slide.
The picture file is placed.

With digital cameras and sharing pictures online becoming more popular, you'll most likely want to insert a picture file that you have saved on your computer into a slide in your presentation. You can easily insert all types of graphics files: Windows Metafiles, JPEG files, PNGs, Macintosh PICT files, Kodak Photo CD files, and many more.

Movies and Sounds
To insert movies and sounds into your slides, select Insert, Movies and Sounds. Then select Movie from Clip Organizer (select from the movie clips Office installed); Movie from File (select from your own movie clip files); Sound from Clip Organizer (select from the sound clips Office installed); Sound from File (select from your own sound clip files); Play CD Audio Track (select from your own music CD or downloaded audio track); or Record Sound (record your own sound clips).
