In this chapter, we've visited that endemic software development bugaboo ”the problem of project scope. We've " discovered " (something that in reality we must admit we already knew) that overscoped projects are typical. Since adding resources may well be impractical , in order to have any hope of succeeding, it may be necessary to reduce the scope by as much as a factor of two. Doing so will not be easy, so we'll move on to addressing that challenge in the next chapter. |
