Summary

A DB2 application program has various components. This chapter looked at how to construct a program and have it communicate with DB2. DB2 can use data in an application program by means of host variables and host structures. You can move through result sets of your data by means of cursors. These cursors must be declared and opened before rows of data can be fetched. Scrollable and nonscrollable cursors are the two types of cursors that can be used with various options.
