Summary In this chapter we looked at the various components of a DB2 application program. We looked at how to construct a program and have it communicate with DB2. DB2 can use data in an application program by means of host variables and host structures. We can move through result sets of our data by means of cursors. These cursors must be declared and opened before fetching rows of data is possible. Scrollable and nonscrollable cursors are the two types of cursors that can be used with various options. |
