The Flights Channel


The Flights channel (Figure 35) enables you to get departure and arrival information for airline flights. Enter search criteria in the top of the window and Sherlock displays results from a database of flights. This is handy for checking the status of a flight you think might be delayedit could prevent you from waiting longer than you need to at the airport!

Tip

  • The Flights channel provides information about current day flights only.


To search for flight information

1.

Open the Flights channel (Figure 35).

2.

Enter search criteria in the top part of the window, right beneath the toolbar.

3.

Click the magnifying glass button to start the search.

4.

After a moment, search results begin to appear. Click a flight to get information about it (Figure 36).

Tip

  • In step 4, if a check mark appears in the Chart column for a flight, a graphic of the flight's position and weather appears in the bottom right of the window (Figure 36). Is this cool or what?
