A LITTLE FRIENDLY COMPETITION

Given the number of cliches they use in interviews, we’ve decided all professional athletes must have the same media coach. How often have you heard one of them say, “We just focus on one game at a time.”

It’s good for a laugh…and, when you think of it, for your employees.

A little healthy competition between stores or divisions can help employees focus on the job at hand—and then some. Consider creating a trophy that travels to the store or team that had the best results for a month or quarter. It will get people’s hearts pumping and the ball rolling.
