When it comes to recognition, too many managers get star struck. With their eyes filled with star performers, they overlook the people in the middle, the folks we like to call the Steady Eddys. (Our carrots trainer, Scott Christopher, calls them the Performin’ Normans, but he’s a little strange).

Anyway, these are the employees who show up every day and do good, solid work. They may not be your top performers, but they are the backbone of your business; and they need encouragement, too.
