PRAISE YOUR BOSS

When we do radio call-in shows, one of the most frequently asked questions is, “My boss is terrible at this. How do I get him to start recognizing me?” One great way to start the cycle is by recognizing your boss for the good things he does.

Senior leaders need love too. And a sincere note of thanks or even verbal praise will go a long way. First, your boss will feel better about his role in the organization—knowing he is seen in a positive light by his employees. Second, he will begin to see the role recognition can play in motivating others.
