In chapter 6 we created a site specification and topology. In this chapter we use the site specification as a guide toward configuring all hardware and software, embedding Windows Media Player in a Web page, and encoding and streaming the first test video.
Once you have all of your equipment in place, developing the site can be accomplished rather quickly. It really only consists of four steps and, depending on the complexity of your site, can be ready in a week or less. The four steps are:
Setting up the audio and video source
Setting up the encoder
Setting up the server
Embedding Windows Media Player in the Web page
In the pages that follow, each of these steps is explained in detail.
