Configuring AR's Administrators

In the previous section, you logged in to AR using the default username and password. You most likely want to change these. To do so, follow these steps:

Step 1.

Change to the Administrators object, as follows:

  

Step 2.

Change to the admin object, as follows:

 

Step 3.

Use the set command to set the password for admin.

Set is a Property command used to configure a value, in this case the password.- Retype password to confirm:cisco Set Password <encrypted>

Step 4.

Optionally, you can use the set command to change the description of admin.

Without the quotes, the description ends at the first space.- Set Description "This is my Admin of AR" ls navigation command to view the profile.- [ //localhost/Administrators/admin ] Name = admin Description = This is my Admin of AR Password = <encrypted>

Step 5.

Additionally, you can add another administrator by changing directories back a level to the Administrators object.

  

Step 6.

Use the add command to add a new administrator.

Add is the Object command that adds the user bcarroll which is considered to be an Object to AR.- Added bcarroll

Step 7.

Check your work.

   

Step 8.

Return to the top level of the object tree.
