Windows Advanced Options menuYou can enable boot logging by selecting Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Safe Mode with Command Prompt, or Enable Boot Logging. After the system boots up, you can log in and view the log file located at %SystemRoot%\Ntbtlog.txt using a tool such as Notepad. DiscussionBoot logging can assist you in spotting drivers or services that may be preventing the system from starting up correctly. The system writes out the ntbtlog.txt log file after you see the Preparing network connections screen. If your system isn't making it that far in the boot process, check out MS KB 275735 for more troubleshooting tips.
