Doug Ellis has worked in the software business for more than 15 years . He graduated from Indiana University with a degree in accounting, and obtained his CPA and MBA while working in various Fortune 500 finance roles. His finance background led him to the accounting software market, where he assisted clients in selecting and implementing various accounting packages. It was through these projects that Doug began to provide custom database programming for multi- user applications. His experience expanded into network implementation for Novell networks and Windows NT, leading him to obtain his Microsoft Certified Professional status including SQL administration. Doug is currently a Technology Manager for Cognos, an international business intelligence software developer focusing on the Fortune 2000 market. He has done extensive work with both Microsoft SQL and SQL Server Analysis Services, Microsoft's OLAP platform.

Chris Thibodeaux, MCSE+I, MCDBA, MCSD, is the Principal Consultant of Empowering Solutions, Inc., a management and technology consultancy in southern California. His primary areas of expertise are in both systems and database architecture. Chris teaches SQL database design, Web database management, and Internet/intranet security at a local community college near his home.
