Acknowledgments

In each book I write, I try to thank all those who helped me write and publish it. Without these people, the book might not have come into being or might not have its present form.

First, I would like to express my general gratitude to the BHV publishing house, with whom I have been cooperating for several years . Individual "thank-yous" go to the publishing house's management and editors who worked closely with me and helped me make the book as I envisioned it. Especial thanks to the proofreaders who caught and corrected my slips that crept in under the strain of having to produce within tight deadlines, trying to keep the information as current as possible when the book reaches bookstores.

I will never tire of thanking my family namely, my parents, wife, and children for being so patient. When I come home after work, it's only to start working the second shift, this time on the next book. Consequently, I am always at the computer at home, which makes communicating difficult because all my thoughts are somewhere in the virtual reality.

Big thanks also go to my friends and acquaintances that helped with advice, ideas, and software.

An individual thank-you goes to the administrators of my Internet service provider, who allowed me to test some of the methods described in the book on their equipment. I tried to be careful when using their systems and not to do any damage to their systems. I would like to believe that I was successful in this respect.

It just so happens that my pets take part in writing all of my books. This book was not an exception, and my cat Chikist lent me his helping paw. Because he is a nocturnal animal, at 11:00 p.m. Chikist starts strolling around the apartment making all lands of noises. This helped me stay awake and concentrate on the task at hand.

I also want to thank another cat, the Microsoft Office assistant. I used Microsoft Word to write the book, with Linux running on a virtual machine so that I could make screen-shots. Whenever my yearling son Cyril was left in my care, I would sit him next to me and he would entertained himself playing with the cat on the monitor while I could go on with my work. Sometimes, however, both the cat and the monitor had to be rescued when my son tried to pat the monitor cat.

The biggest thanks go to you for having bought this book and my steady readers, who also take part in creating my books. My latest books are based on the questions and suggestions from the readers with whom I regularly communicate on the forum of the www.vr-online.ru site. So, if you have any questions or suggestions, you are invited to this forum. I will try to answer them to the best of my abilities . Please feel free to express any comments that you may have concerning this book. Your criticism will help me write my next book better.
