Use a Picture as a Bullet Symbol

You can use a pictureyour own or one provided by Microsoftas a bullet symbol.

1.	Start Word. On the menu bar, in the Type a question for help box, type Custom bullet and then press . Locate and then click the topic Add picture bullets or symbols to lists .
2.	Read the instructions that display and then follow the steps to use one of the built-in pictures as a bullet in a bulleted list. If you want to do so, import a favorite small picture instead.
3.	Close the Microsoft Office Word Help window and then close the Search Results task pane.

Sensation! Park is a "family fun center" theme park designed for today's busy families. The park offers traditional amusement park rides and arcade games along with new and popular water rides, surf pools, laser tag, video games , and a racetrack for all ages. Situated on 100 acres, the park's mission is to provide a safe, clean, exciting environment where children and adults of all ages can find a game, ride, or event that suits their interests or discover something completely new!

Using Graphics and Tables

Adding graphics greatly enhances the effectiveness of documents. Digital images, such as those obtained from a digital camera or a scanner, can be inserted into documents. You can also create your own graphic objects by using the tools on the Drawing toolbar.

Tab stops are useful to horizontally align text and numbers . Use the Tab key to move text to specific tab stop locations on a line. You can set and specify the alignment of your own tab locations.

Tables present data effectively and efficiently . The row and column format of a table makes information easy to find and easy to read. A table also helps the reader organize and categorize the data. The Word table feature has tools that enable you to format text, change column width and row height, and change the background for all or part of a table. You can also modify the table's borders and lines.

In Activities 3.1 through 3.8, you will edit a job announcement flyer for Sensation! Park. You will add and format a picture and a clip art image. You will also add objects from the Drawing toolbar. Your completed document will look similar to Figure 3.1.
