Access has three types of modules: Code behind Forms, Standard, and Class modules. A Code behind Forms module contains declarations, event procedures, and possibly other procedures that relate to a specific form (or report). A Standard module contains declarations and procedures that can be used throughout an application. And Class modules are used to define custom objects you can work with in code.
