Third-Party Tools

No program can be all things to all people. There are probably PIM features you need that Outlook doesn't provide. In that case, you can use a large number of third-party add-ins to add more PIM functionality to Outlook. Some of the add-ins that can be particularly helpful are

• Extended Reminders Outlook supports reminders only in your default folders. If you create other folders for filing your Outlook items, you cannot flag those items for follow up and have a reminder trigger. • ClearView Creating multiple Outlook folders can greatly simplify the organization and storage of Outlook items, but it can be a problem to view items in multiple folders at the same time. • Franklin Covey PlanPlus PlanPlus integrates the features and benefits of the Franklin Covey planning system into Outlook.
