Closing Sections


After you've been using OneNote for a while, you'll probably have a lot of open sections. As you can see from Figure 9.10, a large number of sections can make it difficult to read the entire section title. If you have more sections than can fit across the screen, you'll notice black arrows on the sides of the section tabs. Click the black arrows to scroll through the sections.

You can close an open section that you no longer need. To close a section, right-click the section's tab and choose Close. The section's .one file remains intact in the My Notebook folder, but the section doesn't display in OneNote any more. You can reopen the section at any time by choosing Open from the File menu and choosing the section's .one file.
