The installation process is quite simple. If you don't yet own Macromedia Studio MX, you may download trial versions from www.macromedia.com/ downloads/. The following instructions are for the Macromedia Studio MX application disc. The following screenshots are for a Windows XP installation. To install, follow these steps:
Insert the Macromedia Studio MX disc into your CD-ROM. The install interface opens automatically, as shown in Figure C-1.

Click Macromedia Studio MX Install.
The InstallShield Wizard opens. Click Next.
Click Yes to accept the License Agreement after you've read it.
Fill in your name, organization (optional), and serial number found on the CD wrapper.
You'll see a green check mark if you've entered the numbers properly. Click Next.
Click the Browse button if you want to select a new location for the install, and click Next.
Sit back while your applications install. Fireworks installs first, then FreeHand, Dreamweaver, and finally Flash.
The Flash Player is checked by default; click Next to install the Macromedia Flash Player for Internet Explorer (Figure C-2).

Click Finish (Figure C-3) when you see the Setup has finished installing window.

The Readme file automatically opens.
