Editing the Page

Often, the authors need to edit a page after is has been published. To edit the page, navigate to the page, switch to Edit mode, and click Edit in the Web Author console, as we have already seen in Figures 5-7 and 5-8. The page is displayed with the editable placeholder content inside the placeholders; you can change this content as required. When you've finished editing the content, select one of the two options on the Web Author console: either Save to save your edits and stay on the same page to carry on with editing, or Save And Exit to go to the page in Edit mode. After you've saved the page and exited the template-based authoring, the page status in the Web Author console is changed to Saved; you can change page properties if required. In order to be published, the page needs to be approved by the editor and the moderator; we will discuss this process in the next chapter.
