Typically when you are using outlines (strokes) on your shapes, you have a basic set of styles to choose from. For many of you, this is fine, and you've never thought twice about needing anything more. However, if you're like me (a control freak), then you'll want to be able to make your own things whenever possible. The same goes for strokes.
Activate the Ink Bottle Tool, look to the Property inspector, and click the Custom button. Here you'll be able to define your own unique Stroke Style. The variations you can come up with are almost limitless, so feel free to play around and find some you like. I also recommend checking the box that says Zoom 4x to view the style you're creating close up. This customization is not as robust as some custom tools in other programs that you may be used to, but it ain't half bad either.
