There's a lot of mention in this bookand by developers in generalabout your Flash prefs (short for preferences). Sometimes people recommend you delete them in case of some unknown error, or sometimes you need to know where they are so you can customize your Flash experience. The only problem is that they are in a different location depending on which operating system you use. That's why I want to give you a clear list of how to find your prefs on any computer. They are now in a folder called Configuration, and here's how you find them:
Windows 2000 or XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash MX 2004\en\Configuration
Windows 98 or ME: C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash MX 2004\en\Configuration
Macintosh OS X: <Macintosh HD>:<username>:Library:Application Support:Macromedia:Flash MX 2004:en:Configuration
Now if I or anyone else mentions your Configuration folder or prefs, you'll know exactly where to go.
