When you open Flash MX 2004 for the first time, you won't even see the Color Mixer (Window > Design Panels > Color Mixer). But if you're a designer, you'll find and open this guy right away. That being the case, you may notice that the Color Mixer can take up a lot of screen space. Sure, you could hide the entire thing by clicking its title bar, but you may want it handy without having to toggle its visibility every time.
With the Color Mixer open, click the tiny up arrow located at the bottom right to shrink it to a basic view. This saves space, and you don't have to completely hide the thing. Click the down arrow in the same spot to view the advanced features again.
