I Can't Import a Quicktime Movie!

Have you ever tried to import a QuickTime movie and received the following error?

"One or more files were not imported because there were problems reading them."

If so, then you're not alone. In my years of experience and teaching, this is one of the most common errors I've seen since Flash was allowed to import video files. Not to worry though, the solution is simple...Install QuickTime! That's right, if you are getting this error, then chances are you don't have QuickTime installed. For Flash to import QuickTime content of any kind, the application must be installed on your computer. Once you install it, you should not receive this error any more, but instead you'll get the desired video. Keep in mind that this error can occur while importing other files as well, in which case you should check with Macromedia support for specific information regarding your situation.
