If you look at my workspace at any given time, you'll probably find five to ten files open. When it comes time to close a file, it really annoys me that I have to go to File > Close for each one, so instead I do this.... Press CTRL-W to quickly close the document, and then when you're given the typical pop-up asking you if you'd like to save the document, press the first letter of the choice you want to make (y:yes, n:no, c:cancel).
I know, I know. This one isn't one of those super tricky, ultra-secret tips that you'll faint over, but it can certainly save you a lot of time.
