Picking the right font is usually a complex system of trial and error. Because the average user has over 50 fonts on his/her computer, we need to make that trial process as simple as possible. Place any text field on your Stage, fill it with some text, and make sure it's selected. Now look to the good old Property inspector and instead of clicking the down arrow for the list of fonts, click in the box with your cursor. This activates the font list box so that all you have to do now is use your up and down arrow keys to cycle through the font list. As you do this, you'll see your selected text box change in real time so that you can quickly pick the font you want and see what it looks like in place at the same time. Freaky how easy that was, huh?
Just think of the time you save by not having to open the font list and choose one each time to preview it. Yikes, I shudder at the thought.
