Deleting Messages


Deleting Messages

To keep your Inbox clean and down to a reasonable size , you may have to delete messages.

  1. Click on the Mail Bookmark. Your mail will open .

  2. Highlight the message you want to delete.

  3. Click on the Delete button. The message will disappear from your Inbox.

  4. Click on the Trash view. The view will open and you will see the message that you deleted.

    When you are in the Trash view, you have several options.

    • Restore. Restore the highlighted message back to the folder or view it was deleted from.

    • Restore All. Restore all of the messages in the Trash back to the original folder or views.

    • Delete Selected Item. Permanently delete the message that is highlighted.

    • Empty Trash. Permanently delete all of the items in the Trash.

    Tip 

    You can also delete a message by highlighting it and pressing the Delete key on your keyboard.

Chapter 10: Looking at Your Calendar

Overview

One of the most useful tools built within Lotus Notes is Calendaring and Scheduling. For those with hectic schedules, the Lotus Notes Calendar makes keeping track of your meetings and appointments a snap. In this chapter, you will learn how to:

  • Change how you see your calendar

  • Switch Months

  • Open a calendar entry

  • Use the Meetings list

  • Use Group Calendars



Changing How You See Your Calendar

By default, Notes shows a sevenday view of your calendar, but that may not be the way you want it to work. In this section, you will learn how to change how your calendar is displayed.

  1. Click on the Calendar Bookmark. Your calendar will open .

    The default view for the Lotus Notes Calendar is the seven-day Week view.

    Once you customize your calendar, the settings will remain even after you close your calendar so that next time you open it, you don't have to customize it again. We will now cover all of the possible options for viewing your calendar.

  2. Click on the Day tab.

    If you prefer to view your calendar just a day or two at a time, this is the option for you. The Day view includes the following options:

  3. Click on the Week tab .

    The Week tab gives you a few more options.

    Tip 

    Notice that the view that you currently have selected will have a checkmark beside it in the options.

  4. Click on the Month tab.

    The Month tab gives you options to view your calendar monthly.
