Namespaces

This chapter uses the following namespace prefixes:

 xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/10/XMLSchema" xmlns:xkms="http://www.xkms.org/schema/xkms-2001-01-20" xmlns:xmldsig="http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#" 

Elements without prefixes are usually those defined in XML Schema [Schema]. Those with the "xkms:" prefix refer to the protocol from the XKMS Note; those with the "xmldsig:" prefix come from the XML Digital Signature standard (see Chapter 10).
