EDT Summary

This section does not provide a complete introduction to the EDT text editor; it is only a crash course in the most essential functions.

Using this basic guide, you should be able to create new text files, edit existing ones, and effectively use the EDT editor for normal tasks. EDT is not the only editor supplied with OpenVMS; your system may have additional editors or word processors installed. Your system manager can tell you if this is the case.
