Chapter 15. Adding Images

Placing Images on the Page
Positioning Images in Relation to Other Content
Resizing Images

Are you ready for images? Of course you are.

You took a dip in the image pool already in Chapter 13, when you added a graphical nav bar to your template. This chapter covers the static images of your site: the non-clickable, content-bearing images that appear in the body of your page and the trade dress like the logos and banners that go in designated layout areas. (If clickable images of all kinds interest you, then you have only to be patient a little while longer, as they're coming in droves in Chapter 17.)

Along the way, you'll learn about aligning your images in relation to the text that you added in Chapter 14, making your images more accessible to those who can't see them, and resizing and resampling your images for that perfect fit.
