Section 14.7. Using Horizontal Rules

14.7. Using Horizontal Rules

The often-neglected, always-humble horizontal rule is a line that runs from left to right on the page. The browser generates this element entirely by itselfyou don't have to build a special image file or create a special style in your external stylesheet.

Horizontal rules are useful for dividing sections of your page. With a little formatting, they make an elegant way of separating your secondary nav from the content of the page, as Figure 14-19 shows.
