Photoshop to Acrobat

Photoshop to Acrobat
Q1:

Is it possible to read annotations in Acrobat that were created with Photoshop?

A1:

When a Photoshop document is saved as a PDF file (File>Save As and choose Photoshop PDF from the Format pop-up menu), one of the options in the Save As dialog is Annotations. If that checkbox is selected, then when the resulting PDF is opened in Acrobat, the annotation will appear (and is editable).

Q2:

Can I use Photoshop layers in Acrobat?

A2:

If you have Illustrator CS2, you can create a PDF file with layers from the original layered Photoshop file. First, open the PSD file in Illustrator CS2 and choose the option to Convert Photoshop Layers to Objects when the Photoshop Import Options dialog appears. Then go to File>Save As and choose Adobe PDF in the Save As Type pop-up menu at the bottom of the Save As dialog. When the Save Adobe PDF dialog appears, make sure that you change the Compatibility pop-up menu to Acrobat 6 or higher and turn on the Create Acrobat Layers from Top-Level Layers checkbox. Then when you open the PDF file in Acrobat 7, use the Layers tab (View>Navigation Tabs>Layers) to work with the layers. ( Note: In the Save PDF Options dialog, you must choose Acrobat 6 or higher, as earlier versions do not support layers.)

Q3:

Can I edit a PDF Presentation in Acrobat?

A3:

The PDF file that is created by PDF Presentation (File>Automate) in Photoshop is a "standard" PDF file, so you can work with that file in Acrobat. Use Acrobat's options to add or remove pages, change the page order, or set the transition effects for the document.
