MilkShape 3D offers a variety of animation tools that are excellent for game developers.
You can create joints for models with the Joint tool. You use it very similarly to many of the MilkShape tools with one exception. Instead of clicking and dragging to create bones, you first click a single time, which creates the first part of a bone, and then move your mouse and click again to create the second part. A sample bone can be seen in Figure 14.24.
Figure 14.24: Creating joints and bones in MilkShape is a very easy process.
MilkShape uses keyframes to create animation sequences. We’ll look at this further when we do a step-by-step tutorial later in the book.
