11.5 List of document and content management systems

Many companies are providing services or delivering products related to document and content management. The market is still not stabilized, and we shall experience many changes in the near future; many companies will disappear and new companies will emerge. In addition, document management services will increasingly become standard parts of other types of services and systems. Table 11.1 lists some of the companies that explicitly define their activities as document and content management. According to CMSWatch, there exist more than 250 providers of content management tools, without taking document management tools into account.
