Retrospectives

After each iteration and release, get all the players together to look at the good and bad of the project so far and plan the next iteration or release (see Chapter 26 for more about retrospectives). Encourage a shorter release cycle, smaller in scope but with much faster time to production. Don't be afraid to be an agent for change. Show how the agile practices you used, such as pair testing and your flexible test design, helped you be more productive and help create a higher-quality product. Change is hard, and you may not always succeed with your suggestions, but give yourself the satisfaction of being a leader. Meanwhile, you can be more satisfied with your own work because you've used agile practices effectively.
