Chapter Seventeen. Talking About Safety

In your everyday life, you have negotiated the levels of safety you practice with your family, with your neighbors, within your circle of friends, and in society, though perhaps not always consciously. Everyone in your family understands the need to lock the front door at night, why they shouldn't leave candles burning when nobody is around, and why the dog must be kept on a leash. All of these things help keep you, your family, and your neighbors safe.
