This section of the book is divided into two parts—Part II A: A+ Core Service Technician Study (220-301) and Part II B: A+ Operating Systems Technologies Study (220-302).
Several chapters in this book contain a References section at the very end of the chapter. These contain specific Web site addresses that have been picked out of the chapter to help you expand your knowledge of a particular subject. It is advised that you make good use of them in order optimize your success rate on the real exams.
You will notice “Note” icons throughout Part II. These Note icons are used to warn you of important information that has been identified as a CompTIA 2003 Objective upgrade. In other words, information in this section that is targeted by a Note icon is likely to be on the exam.
At the end of each chapter in this book, you will be able to test your knowledge by answering several chapter content-related review questions. You may see questions relative to earlier chapters as you move forward. This design is in place to help you build on your skill sets as you move through the book. Use a piece of paper to cover the answers provided underneath the questions (don’t cheat). If you do not understand the question or the answer, you may have to go back and do some review work. Pay very close attention; you may see similar questions on the actual tests.
