Enables a service or device driver.
Type “ENABLE” followed by the service name or device driver name and the startup type. The possible startup types are SERVICE_BOOT_START, SERVICE_SYSTEM START, SERVICE_AUTO_START, and SERVICE_DEMAND_START. For example, to enable the Messenger service to start automatically, type:
ENABLE Messenger SERVICE_AUTO_START
When the ENABLE is run with a device driver name or service name but no start type, the current start type is displayed. Write this down if you need to keep a record of it.
You can use the LISTSVC command for a list of services and drivers on the computer.
