Web sites are not the only option for finding great FrontPage related information. In this section, we highlight a resource on FrontPage related newsgroups and examine two popular FrontPage message boards. The Microsoft Public NewsgroupsMicrosoft continues to provide a great deal of support for its products through its public newsgroups available through most Internet service providers. In addition, the public newsgroups are a tremendous source for peer-to-peer support that is hard to find elsewhere. TIP The world of newsgroups can seem a bit overwhelming to many people, but it is well worth the effort once you get over the initial hurdle. Although Outlook Express continues to get better as a newsreader, there are also a number of ways to access newsgroups through a Web interface. One is offered through the link that follows this tip and another can be found through http://googlegroups.frontpagelink.com. The following link takes you to a reference at Microsoft regarding the latest news on the newsgroups and provides additional information and options on how to access them.
FrontPage TalkFrontPage Talk is the Web message board to thousands of active users who have made tens of thousands of FrontPage related postings to this very popular Internet destination for talking about FrontPage.
OutFront WebmastersOutFront Webmasters is another popular Web board focusing on both FrontPage and Webmastering.
FrontPage StoriesThis new site provides a place for FrontPage users to post their "FrontPage Stories" related to the sites they built, the problems they faced, and the lessons they learned. The site allows for other users to comment on the stories in a traditional Web portal format that encourages a tremendous amount of user interactivity. Although this site was brand new at publication, the potential for this project deserves a visit from (and the participation of) every reader of this book.
