Working with Databases and XML

HTML, DHTML, and scripting languages are all supported in FrontPage 2003. Using these technologies to interact with data sources, such as databases and XML feeds, brings a new level of power to the Web design process. In addition to the coding tools of FrontPage 2003 that you can bring to the design, the product also comes with several tools for interacting with data sources without the necessity for coding a line.

For a better understanding of the different types of data used by FrontPage and how the product interacts with them, see "Types of Data Used with FrontPage: An Overview," p. 663.
