Not Authorized to Manage UsersI am trying to manage users on my Web site, and all I can see is an error telling me that I'm not authorized to manage users. In order to manage users on a FrontPage Server Extensions 2002 Web site, you must have the Configure Access right. The server administrator may not have given you this right. Check with your server administrator. If you are the server administrator, refer to "Creating Users and Roles" in this chapter for information on how you can change your rights. Unable to Send InvitationsI've configured some users for my site, and I'm trying to send them invitations. When I do, I get an error telling me that I must set up email first. When you send an invitation using the Server Extensions, the Server Extensions access the SMTP mail settings that you have configured in order to send the mail. If you have not configured these settings, the Server Extensions won't know how to send mail and will display this error. Refer to the "Configuring Mail Settings" section of this chapter for information on how to configure mail settings. Server and Site Settings Are Grayed OutI'm trying to configure site settings for my Web site, but the Server and the Site Settings menus are grayed out. In order to configure server or site settings, you must have a Web site open. Make sure that you open a Web site before attempting to use these features. |
