BEA Web Services architecture is based on J2EE. It has a comprehensive programming model with Weblogic features, such as IDE (developer workbench), UDDI registry, and UDDI browser. They support SOAP 1.2 and SOAP 1.2 with attachment. BEA has a new product, Java Adapter for Mainframe (J2EE Connector), for mainframe integration (for example, CICS and IMS). All Weblogic Web Services automatically generate a home page (useful for testing) and user -defined data type components (using the ANT extension). http://www.bea.com/products/weblogic/server/paper_webservices.pdf is a brief white paper describing BEA's Web Services capability. BEA has contributed to Web Services Choreography Interface (WSCI) with Sun Microsystems recently, WS-Coordination, WS-Transaction, and Business Process Execution Language for Web Services (BPEL4WS).
