Chapter 9. Service Description with WSDL


WSDL provides a way for services to describe their interfaces to potential client applications. Using XML to express the inputs, operations, and messages, the description gives the would-be client all the information it needs to interact with the server. This chapter introduces the elements of WSDL and builds a description for the web service that was developed in Chapter 7.
