Summary

Team-Fly

The com.sap.rfc package offers numerous classes and interfaces; start with the basic ones, such as ISimpleField, and read through the examples in earlier chapters. Then start writing simple Java programs until you get used to the conventions for sending and returning data, as well as for handling exceptions. The key difference between good and great code is that great code cleanly handles all exceptions.

You can find more documentation for the classes shown in this chapter through the HTML pages that are installed on your system when you install the SAP Automation Suite. The location of this documentation seems to change after each new release, so look for a Docs directory somewhere under the high-level installation directory. You can also use the Windows Explorer Find File command to locate HTML pages such as index.html or IField.html.
