5.7 Summary

The MBeanServer is the core of any JMX-based management application. The MBeanServerFactory class allows us to create, look up, and release individual MBeanServers. Using the MBeanServer, we can create and register new MBeans, retrieve their attributes and invoke operations on them, and add listeners that react to the notifications they generate. The MBeanServer also provides a simple but useful query mechanism that allows us to select sets of MBeans on the basis of their attribute values.
