Trusted applications are a new feature to GroupWise 6.5 and 7. A trusted application is not something you create in ConsoleOne, nor is it configured from ConsoleOne. A trusted application is an object that is created by software that might integrate with GroupWise. An example might be GWAVA's (www.beginfinite.com) post office message store scanning features (shown in Figure 6.21). There is one other place where you can disable certain trusted applications. If you edit a post office, and select the Post Office Settings property page, you have the option to Exempt This Post Office from the Trusted Application Routing Requirement. Figure 6.21. Because a trusted application is really a registry for a third-party software solution of some type, consult the documentation for that software for configuration procedures. |
