Summary

In this chapter, we looked at localization and licensing, which are important aspects of developing professional-quality and commercial server controls. We also provided localizable metadata attribute classes and a licensing framework that you can directly incorporate into your own development projects. We discussed how you can add support for configuration into your controls. Finally, we discussed the two deployment models that the .NET Framework provides to allow you to deploy your assemblies for use in applications.

In this part of the book, we have taken an in-depth look at the server control architecture and how you can use it to develop new and powerful controls. In Part V, "Server Control Case Studies," we will implement a set of relatively large and complex controls that illustrate and incorporate various topics covered in this book.
