Viewing Your Work

[ LiB ]

It's all in the way you look at things. When you're working creatively, sometimes you need to see the finest detail and other times you need to stand back and look at the overall image perspective. Paint Shop Pro includes several tools to help you get a better look at your work.

Zooming In and Out

Use the Zoom feature to zoom in and magnify portions of your image for close-up detail work. You can also zoom out to see your entire image. The Zoom feature is available under the View menu, but you'll find it easiest to use the Zoom tool on the Tools toolbar.

NOTE

Optionally, if your mouse has a scroll wheel, you can use the scroll wheel to quickly zoom in and out of your image

The Zoom Tool Options palette also contains buttons to help you review your image.

Seeing the Overview Palette

Paint Shop Pro version 8 is the Overview palette. When you have zoomed in on a small area for a detailed operation, you might find it useful to see the entire image while you work. That's the purpose of the Overview palette.

NOTE

Paint Shop Pro might operate more slowly when the Overview palette is open .

NOTE

A quick way to display or hide the Overview palette is to press the F9 key.
