Chapter 17. Designing Web Page Components

Today's Web pages must not only look good, but also convey your message accurately. The competition for "hits" on a Web site is fierce. Paint Shop Pro can help you create backgrounds and patterns that are designed to catch the eye of the surfer. Pages that contain similar topics should have a similar look and feel.

Although you can create your backgrounds and graphics in Paint Shop Pro, in most situations, Paint Shop Pro doesn't do the HTML code for you. You'll need to either create the HTML text yourself or use one of the many Web page creation applications such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver. In this chapter, you'll learn how to

  • Create a Web page background

  • Resize an image

  • Preview in a Web browser

  • Save in Web graphics formats
